It has been a while since I've shot downtown Minneapolis! I found out that "technically" I should have a permit to shoot photos there. But thats okay, the cranky city worker came over after we nailed the shots. Enjoy!

Taking a breather

Its really important to breathe. (profound thought there isn't it ;) I say that because sometimes (and I think quite often) there is a ton of beauty all around us if we take the time to breathe and really see it.
Example: After consulting with a potential bride, I took 5 minutes and walked over to the lake front in Wayzata and thought there would only be a boring beach with big boat docks and nothing interesting. If you like these images, I hope they encourage you to take time throughout your day to stop- and take a breather.

Emily & John- you make me smile. You are such a cute couple! I just knew the wedding would be great ever since we first met. I don't think I ever mentioned it to you, but when we first met I noticed on one of your hands was written in pen "I love you". It must have been in retaliation or something, because the other had "I love you more". Right then that I knew this was a perfect match- and I was praying I'd be the photographer you'd choose. Luckily I was. It was a blessing to be a part of your big day, to interact and have fun with you two, your friends, and your family. Everyone was so much fun to work with and willing to let loose and be themselves.

July 4th

This 4th of July I was able to go with my really close friend to her extended family up north. It was a blast. Such great people, really kind and welcoming, and totally fun to be around.
